Satellite Media is seeking a smart, driven all-rounder to join our growing team and learn about our business from the ground up. This entry level role would suit a recent graduate of Communications, Event Management, Digital Arts or a similar tertiary discipline who is looking to get their foot in the door of an exciting and growing industry.

Satellite is a cross-platform media production company, servicing the digital and production needs of major clients. Our company of 45 staff is made up of design, software development, project management, content, television production and activations staff.

We deliver websites, mobile applications, events, activations, digital signage, design solutions and content. We are focused on innovation and the power of connecting consumers with the right message at the right time, in the right location. A strong interest in digital media and activations is required.

About the role

Satellite has built a solid reputation and is now looking for a dynamic, professional person to fulfil a broad-reaching role which includes front of house and office management responsibilities, while also assisting our team with digital and activations projects.

While front of house tasks will be minimal in this role, responsibilities will include seamless and professional operation of the front desk and main phone line, managing couriers and mail, greeting visitors, assisting the Managing Director and General Manager with calendar management, scheduling meetings and other required tasks where necessary.

As our Office Manager you will be responsible for ordering stationery, kitchen and bar supplies, communicating with maintenance suppliers, printer and photocopier support, reconciling expenses, assisting the finance department where needed, and organising staff events.

Our digital and activations teams require assistance with a wide range of tasks including digital content updates, reporting, prize and order fulfillment, online helpdesks and device monitoring, pack in and pack out of events, Brand Ambassador tasks, general errands, and other tasks where needed. The scope for this part of the role will be constantly evolving and could lead to future career progression within the company for the right candidate. Enthusiasm for and the ability to manage many tasks within each day is essential.

Applicants would ideally be familiar with Google Suite, website CMS, digital media tools such as Photoshop and online productivity tools, although full training and support will be given to the successful candidate.

We’re seeking someone who is able to demonstrate a great attitude, strong initiative, attention to detail, the ability to juggle priorities to meet deadlines, and a strong work ethic.

This is a full time, Monday – Friday role, although some weekend work may be required. You will need a full driver’s license and your own vehicle (on site car parking will be provided).
