Catapulting chocolate lovers to a Whittaker’s wonderland

When Whittaker’s were looking to launch their newest flavour with a bang, local content agency BreakOut Room were tasked with creating a fully immersive dining experience to delight Whittaker’s fans. The brief? Give the chocolate lovers something they’ve never seen before. Locally sourced ingredients were to be the stars of the show, with Whittaker’s wanting to give the audience a glimpse of the magic that goes into creating their new Honey Nougat & Almond block.


The story to be told

Satellite were brought on board to bring to life the world of Whittaker’s using wrap-around LED panels, paired with overhead projection to bring the creative to life on the table.

Each delicious ingredient was introduced via the screen creative and sound design, and then paired with dishes designed by Chef Will Mordido, creating an immersive sensory taste-testing. Multiple sessions over a day saw influencers and media treated to a once in a lifetime experience.


The resulting experience

Satellite crafted the event from scouting and dressing the location, right through to event management on the day. Creative direction and nimation of the screen creative were turned around in record time, transporting viewers from New Zealand’s clover honey fields to almonds in space. Yes, space.

The response from the viewers on the day was amazing, with the event creating unmissable buzz across all social channels.

The Outcome

Whittaker’s Marketing Manager, Liv Glazebrook said “The innovative and immersive campaign elements have really helped to drive awareness around the Honey Nougat and Almond launch, and we’ve already had lots of feedback from Chocolate Lovers saying it’s a new favourite.”
