Anchor Strong Points

Buy, Collect, Win — Anchor Strong Points was a brand loyalty promotion, where customers collected points by purchasing Anchor products and entering their barcodes on the Strong Points website. This allowed users to enter daily and weekly draws to win some amazing prizes.

Pathway to prizes

Satellite built a prize draw administration where each Anchor consumer product was assigned a points value that could be redeemed by uploading the barcode of that product to trigger points to a user’s account. To take part in the Strong Points promotion users had to register online at

They were then sent an activation email for their account. Upon account activation they could upload their Anchor Strong Points to their account by submitting their proof of purchase to earn points. Those points were used to enter competition prize draws for different prizes from a variety of vouchers to some really desirable items like a new Mazda, a tropical holiday, Fitbit Trackers, Breville Coffee Machines, Apple Laptops, Mountain Bikes and Canon Cameras.

Campaign Objectives

This was a multi-agency project with Satellite leading the design and build of the website. The campaign was designed to grow brand awareness and sales of Anchor products through this customer loyalty programme. Secondary was to grow the CRM database and increase users opting in to receive marketing communications.

The Outcome

During the promotional period registrations into the campaign achieved a significant 34% conversion rate, leading to over 300,000 barcodes being submitted to the site and contributing to over half a million transactions. This was not only made possible, but was a seamless experience for Anchor buyers because of the technology and architecture of the solution by Satellite.
