Taste Kapiti

Kapiti’s brief to us was to have people literally wiping drool from their mouths as they’re hitting the ‘’Add to Cart’’ button. This wasn’t hard given Kapiti’s made-in-New Zealand cheese, ice cream and milk products not only look good, but they taste pretty darned good too.

While the requirement was to build the site on AEM - the Adobe Experience Management platform, the brief was to build the ecommerce part of the site using Shopify. We think the experience for the user is seamless and pretty slick with an integrated shopping cart and clear calls to action to buy online.

Bringing the Kapiti story to life

Proudly originally New Zealand, Kapiti’s challenge to Satellite was to tell the story of their humble beginnings on Wellington’s Kapiti coast through to winning awards and featuring in supermarkets and retailers all over the world.

We carefully wove the narrative throughout the design and user journeys with subtle design elements and content peppered throughout the user flows. Customers come away understanding a little bit more about Kapiti and what they’re buying is proudly New Zealand.

Shopify integration providing a seamless online shopping experience
— AEM, Shopify and Salesforce

Our specialised AEM Developers built Kapiti’s website on AEM (Adobe Experience Manager). Subscribers to the Kapiti database are pushed through to Salesforce’s products where the Kapiti team can carefully analyse data about their customers and supply content to them that is targeted and relevant.

We built and continue to send email newsletters to Kapiti subscribers via Salesforce’s Marketing Cloud (Exact Target email marketing tool).

Ongoing support

Our seven-year relationship with the Kapiti team continues to grow. We love working with them to continue enhancing their digital experience. Visit the Kapiti Collection website www.tastekapiti.co.nz
